A device for carrying out traffic safety examinations of utility vehicles is proposed which permits the examination to be carried out rationally for all series-produced utility vehicles with pneumatic and/or hydraulic brake activation by virtue of the fact that the measuring and display instruments for all the functions to be measured are accommodated in one instrument case and that connecting cables arranged in groups for connection to the vehicle are assigned to the measuring and display instruments, arranged in groups, of the instrument case. This assignment is preferably made in such a way that the connecting cables are arranged in the longitudinal direction of a group, as a group, partially behind and partially in front of a brake test bench assigned to the group.
