What is shown is a possibility which allows a further significant reduction of size in the sector of hand weapons by means of a new breech system, namely the modification of the conventional Becker breech. This has, in comparison with the conventional Becker breech, a changed extractor control suitable for hand weapons and, furthermore, can be coupled to an additional delay system which, however, acts only over the permissible return travel afforded by the Becker breech. The possibility of a rapid change of the grip piece makes it possible, especially where pistols are concerned, to achieve the best possible adaptation to the particular weapon size required.
