<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate the operation for attaching and detaching a cassette and to prevent moisture absorption of paper by attaching and detaching the cassette, with an opening and closing cover of the cassette engaged with guides to open and close the opening and closing cover, so as to eliminate the troublesome operation for opening and closing the opening and closing cover. CONSTITUTION:A cassette cover 8 is detachably fitted to the upper end opening portion of a paper feed cassette 7. The cassette cover 8 is provided with an opening and closing lid 8a hinged on the front portion thereof by a shaft 10 in such a manner as to open upward, and a spring is wound round the shaft 10 to urge the opening and closing lid 8a in the closing state. The forward end of the opening and closing lid 8a is provided with engaging portions 8b, 8c such as pin- like projections formed on both ends thereof. A support table 11 for supporting the cassette is projected on the opening lower end portion of a cassette insertion hole 6 of a copying machine body 1, and guide members 12, 13 for guiding the engaging portions 8b, 8c are fixed to both ends of the support table 11. Guide grooves 12a, 13a corresponding to the opening and closing loci of the engaging portions 8a, 8b are bored through the inner walls of the guide members 12, 13.</p> |
