<p>PURPOSE:To transport a sheet to the next copying process, with the leasing end of the sheet assuredly registered after a stopper is released by separating an upper roller from a lower roller after the sheet is brought into contact with the stopper to eliminate bending of the sheet. CONSTITUTION:After the posture of a sheet 48 is corrected while the leading end of the sheet 48 such as a copy sheet, a document or the like is brought into contact with a stopper 18 to be stopped, an upper roller 5 of a pair of rollers 5, 6 is separated and displaced upward from the sheet 48 and the lower roller 6 by rotating a ratchet wheel 40, a first cam 28 and a second cam 38 in direction of an arrow 50 by the rotating drive of a shaft 27 and turning a pivotal arm 24 on a pin 29, thereby eliminating bending of the sheet 48. Subsequently, after the sheet 48 stopped by the stopper 18 is released, the upper roller 5 is again brought into contact with the lower roller 6 by its dead load to clamp a sheet between both rollers 5, 6, so that the sheet 48 is transported to the next copying process, with the leading end thereof registered.</p> |
