Fuel-heated heat source with a combustion chamber, through which an air throughput is forced by means of a blower via a fresh-air supply and a waste-gas removal line, and with a bypass flap which connects the fresh-air supply line to the waste-gas removal line, bypassing the combustion chamber, the bypass flap (15) forming, in the part-load setting of the fuel-heated heat source, an air guidance arrangement (17, 18, 21) for direct introduction of the fresh air into a suction opening (9) of the blower (10), and the bypass flap (15) connecting, in the full-load setting of the heat source, the entire suction opening to the waste-gas collecting chamber (4), blocking this path. <IMAGE>
