An extensible tent roof, in particular a canvas blind, an awning for camper vans or the like, has a structure consisting of profiled parts and comprising an attachment and support device for fastening to a wall, to a camper van or the like, and at least two articulated arm sections (8, 9) which each have at least two articulated arms (8 and 9) which are arranged one after the other and are connected to one another via a joint piece (10), the free ends of the articulated arm sections thus formed being connected to one another via an eaves purlin (6) and to a tent skin (2), canvas blind material or the like which covers the area defined by the articulated arm sections up to the eaves purlin. Provided in the region of the respective joint pieces (10) of the articulated arm sections (8, 9) parallel to the eaves purlin (6) is at least one continuous purlin (5) on which the joint pieces (2) or the ends of the articulated arms facing the joint pieces are displaceably guided. Each joint piece (10) has at least one joint which is constructed and arranged in such a way that the two joint arms (8, 9) connected to it can be pivoted together parallel to one another on the one hand and, on the other hand, form a curved section bent downwards in the pivoted-up position. <IMAGE>
