The invention relates to a hand appliance for single-seed sowing, with a sieving container for a seed supply and with an extraction device which extracts the seeds from the receiving container and transfers them singly to an outlet orifice, the extraction device having a receiving mouthpiece (28) for single seeds (9) which is adjustable between an extraction position dipping into the seed supply and a transfer position assigned to the outlet orifice (11) and which is connected to an air-guide line (22), by way of which it can be subjected, in the extraction position and until it reaches the transfer position, to a vacuum which can be generated by means of a blowing bellows, so that an extracted seed (9) is retained on the receiving mouthpiece (28) by means of the suction effect until it is transferred. An actuating lever (14) for the blowing bellows is drive-connected to an actuating drive (31, 32, 33, 36) for the receiving mouthpiece.
