An impact or pulling device for a fishing implement formed from a rod and reel is automatically triggered without the action of the angler when the fish bites, by virtue of the fact that the lever (14) which effects locking of the impact or pulling device has a line guide (28) through which the line (23) is guided, the lever (14) executing a pivoting movement due to a pull on the line consequent upon a fish having bitten the hook, owing to which movement locking of the impact or pulling device is triggered. <IMAGE>
