The support rollers (1) mounted in side walls (18) of a roller conveyor path are driven by a drive belt (2) which extends under the support rollers (1) and is supported by pressure rollers (3) which are mounted on two-armed switch levers (4). The switch levers (4) are pivoted about a pivoting axle (16) into the position marked by the dash-dotted line, by axial displacement of a pusher rod (15), so that the drive belt (2) is no longer frictionally engaged with the support rollers (1) to switch off the drive. The switch lever (4) has a bearing on its upper end for a rotatable cam axle with eccentrically arranged pins, on which bearing the pressure roller (3) is mounted. The height of the pressure roller (3) and thereby the angle of contact of the support rollers (1) are adjustable via the drive belt (2) by twisting of the cam axle. <IMAGE>
