A circuit for transmitting a switching signal (A) from activation/de-activation pulses to the base of a switching transistor (5), while maintaining a predefined minimum duration of at least the one of two consecutive switching pulses, contains a transmission switching mechanism (2) which is connected upstream of the base of the switching transistor and which has a switching signal input and a control input, and a timer with an integrator (16) between the output and the control input of the transmission switching mechanism (2). To prevent a change in the keying ratio due to operating voltage fluctuations, the timer (3) contains a bistable comparator (20), while the output signal (C) of the transmission switching mechanism (2) can be fed to one comparator input (+) via the integrator (16) and to the other comparator input (-) after a delay, and the comparator output is connected to the control input of the transmission switching mechanism (2). <IMAGE>
