PURPOSE:To perform welding and rust preventive painting with the same welding robot by attaching electrodes for spot welding as well as an upper painting gun facing diagonally downward and a vertically movable lower painting gun facing diagonally upward to the tip of the arm of said robot. CONSTITUTION:Spot welding electrodes 3 are attached to the tip of the arm of a robot 1 so as to face forward and a pair of upper and lower painting guns 4, 5 are attached thereto so as to face backward. The gun 4 is fixed to the arm 2 and faces diagonally downward. The gun 5 is vertically movably attached to the bottom end of the piston rod 6a of a lifting cylinder attached to the arm 2 so as to face diagonally upward. A panel frame 9 conveyed by a conveyor 8 is spot-welded with the electrodes 3 and thereafter the gun 5 is lowered by the cylinder 6. A paint is sprayed from the guns 4, 5 to spot-welded zone, by which the rust preventive coating of the weld zone is accomplished. |
