PURPOSE:To enable the adjustment of shut height during operation by pressing a sub-plate to a bolster or ram side via an adjusting block combined with tapered plates on the bolster or ram side of a press and holding the same without sticking to said side. CONSTITUTION:A sub-plate 1 is pressed under a specified pressure to a bolster 5 or ram side by means of a spring 6 via a guide pin 2 and tapered plates 3, 4 and is held without being fixed, in a press device. An operator moves back and force the plate 3 by operating an adjusting bolt 8 thereby adjusting the position of the plate 1. The accuracy in the position of the plate 1 with respect to the bolster 5 is maintained by means of the pin 2. The adjustment of shut height is accomplished while said height is continuously checked by such mechanism during operation of the press. |
