JOINING METHOD OF SIALON AND METAL

摘要

PURPOSE:To join easily sialon and other metal by forming a layer of an Ni-Mo alloy contg. a specific amt. of Mo on the surface of the sialon then brazing the same. CONSTITUTION:The sialon produced by a high temp. compression method is polished. An alloy layer consisting of 70-90wt% Ni and 10-30wt% Mo is formed on the surface of the sialon in a carbonizing atmosphere and thereafter the sialon and the metal are joined by a brazing method. The adhesive strength and tensile strength are thus made higher than the strength of the sialon itself.
