PURPOSE:To raise close adhesion between a tool holder and a main shaft and improve precision of processing by providing a tool exchange device between a tool drum and the main shaft with the function of cleaning a dust attached to a tool holder part of a holder pulled out from the drum or the main shaft. CONSTITUTION:When a tool 6 is pulled out from a drum, and an arm 12 is returned and then a tool 6a and a tool holding part 17 are adjusted, and the arm 12 is further returned in E direction, a shank part 6b is inserted in a cleaning cylinder 19 and is brought into contact with a holding face 19a. Subsequently, the holder 6a is held in the cleaning cylinder 19 due to pushing pressure of a lock pin 22 in G direction. Next, when a motor 26 is driven and the cleaning cylinder 19 is rotated for a definite time, a cleaning member 18 provided between the cylinder 19 and the shank part 6b is also rotated round the shank part 6b to wipe and remove a dust or the like attached on the shank part 6b, which is purified. Thus, the tool holder in a single arm style machining center is cleaned and precision of processing can be maintained and improved. |
