Pilot-controlled electromechanical device intended for the direct control of the force of a friction clutch of conventional structure with the aid of an electric actuator with a magnetic casing (1) and a plunger core (2) associated with an electronic control means, characterised in that the core (2) and the casing (1) of the actuator are designed in such a way that the minimum cross-section provided for the passage of the flow in the casing (1) varies linearly with the stroke (x) of the core (2), and in that the winding (7) of the casing (1) has a number of ampere-turns (NI) sufficient to ensure the saturation of this throttling cross-section, by virtue of which the force supplied by the said actuator is proportional to the mean intensity in the winding (7) and independent of the said stroke.
