PURPOSE:To efficiently dissipate heat generated in a main circuit of an inverter by mounting the inverter on the outer frame of a rotary electric machine, and using a cooling heat sink as the outer frame of the machine. CONSTITUTION:A converter section 9 as a main heat generator of an inverter 2 and a main element of an inverter section 10 are mounted on the outer frame 12 of a squirrel-cage motor 1. The motor 1 and the main elements 9, 10 of the inverter 2 are cooled by the frame 12. Further, since the frame 12 is cooled by a cooling outer fan 14 which is mounted on a rotational shaft of the motor 1, the elements 9, 10 of the inverter 2 are efficiently cooled. |
