摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To control highly accuratey the tension of a rolling material by controlling the speeds of roll driving motors basing on a control signal, which is outputted in accordance with the changing amount of a rolling load at a stand on the downstream side at the time when the material runs out of a stand on the upstream side. CONSTITUTION:When the tension of a rolling material 6 is controlled at a target value T0 by driving the lower rolls 1b, 7b of stands 1, 7, consisting each of a pair of rolls, with the aids of motors 2, 8 respectively; both of a rolling load F22 after the material 6 runs out of the 1st stand 1 and a rolling load F21 are detected by rolling load detecting device 11 of the 2nd stand. At that time, a tension value T'12 between the stands 1, 7 is obtained as a function T'12=f (F21-F22) of the difference between said F21 and F22, to control a speed of the material 6 by control devices 12 or 13 of the motor 2 or 8 basing on a deviated tension value DELTAT obtained from the difference between the target value T0 and the tension value T'12 when the next rolling is performed, thereby correcting the value DELTAT. In this way, the tension of a rolling material can be highly accurately controlled.</p>
