PRODUCTION OF RESIN FOR BLOW MOLDING

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled resin having excellent fluidity in molding and capable of easily giving a blow-molded article having excellent surface appearance with high moldability, by granulating a high density polyethylene obtained by using a highly active Ziegler catalyst, under specific condition. CONSTITUTION:A high-density polyethylene prepared by using a highly active Ziegler catalyst is granulated at >=230 deg.C in the presence of air or oxygen, preferably in an atmosphere containing 0.5-21vol% of oxygen to obtain the objective resin without affecting the average molecular weight and molecular weight distribution of the resin. EFFECT:The economics of molding can be improved.
