摘要 PURPOSE:To have good performance of warming the cabin of a car by transferring a number-of-cylinders controlled engine to the full cylindrical operation forcedly when the suction or outside air temp. is below a specific value, and thereby quickening warm-up of the engine in cryogenic environment. CONSTITUTION:A temp. sensor is mounted at the inlet to the suction passage or at the outside air intake for a number-of-cylinders controlled engine, and the suction temp. given by this sensor is compared with the set temp. value T1 (for ex., freezing point). When the sensed temp. is higher than the set value T1, the warmed-up state of the engine shall by judged from the coolant temp. Tw, and if Tw >60 deg.C, it shall be further judged whether the engine is in whole or partial cylindrical operation on the basis of conditions such as the number of revolutions of engine, the car speed, etc., so as to give an appropriate command. If the suction temp. is lower than the set value T1, command for the whole cylindrical operation shall by given at all times. Accordingly the engine can be sufficiently warmed up quickly without shifting into the partial cylindrical operation even though the coolant temp. has risen to a certain extent in the case of extra low outside temperature.
