PURPOSE:To improve recording quality greatly by setting recording characteristics according to the combination of the 1st process and the 2nd process. CONSTITUTION:For example, the quantity of exposure is adjusted and then original density-copy density characteristics are shifted for the value of original density, so that characteristics A and B are realized respectively. When the characteristics A and B are put together (characteristics A+B), nearly ideal characteristics are obtained over a wide density range. For the purpose, a copying machine is set to the characteristics A by adjusting parameters to perform image formation and transfer for the 1st time and the machine is set to the characteristics B by adjusting the parameters again to carry out the 2nd image formation and transfer. Thus, an image of good quality is recorded on a recording sheet according to the characteristics A+B. |
