PURPOSE:To expand an operating area where the invalid power of a converter can be controlled by entering a shunt reactor or a shunt capacitor and appropriately controlling interruption. CONSTITUTION:The output value of a constant invalid power control circuit AQR 16 and the output value of an allowance angle limiter control circuit CER 7B are transmitted to a comparator 29, which generates an output of '1' when the output value of the AQR 16 exceeds that of the CER 7B. On the other hand, a comparator 30 generates an output of '1' when the output of the AQR 16 is below the valve alpha of a function generator 31. Namely, when the output voltage of the AWR 16 reaches the output voltage of the CER 7B at the time of the converter's operation, the shunt reactor SHR is interrupted, or the shunt capacitor SC is entered. When the output voltage of the AQR 16 reaches a control delay angle corresponding to a curve having a difference DELTAQ from a P-Q curve at gammamin, the SHR is entered, or the SC is interrupted. |
