PURPOSE:To provide a sludge dehydrator which pulls and expands forcibly the compressed sludge and to accelerate continuous dehydration by providing recesses or projecting parts to the outside circumferential surface of a rotor having the curved surface approximated to the internal envelop of a peritrochoid curve. CONSTITUTION:A rotor 2 has a curved surface approximated to the internal envelop of a peritrochoid curve. Projecting parts or recesses such as square bar- shaped pawls 11 or the like in parallel with a revolving shaft 6 are arranged and provided zigzag on the outside circumferential surface of the rotor 2. When the rotor 2 revolves to compress sludge, the sludge is hooked by the pawls 11, etc. and pulled and delivered forcibly to the discharging side. The sludge is compacted by the compression and the rate of dehydration decreases but the expanded gaps are generated upon receiving such pulling, by which the decreased dehydratability is recovered. The dehydratability is improved by such antislip rotor 2 and the continuous dehydration is accomplished smoothly and efficiently. |
