PURPOSE:To select the ratio of vertical to horizontal dimension optionally to copy an input picture by providing the titled machine with the 1st optical system for enlarging and reducing and the 2nd optical system capable of enlarging and reducing only in one direction. CONSTITUTION:A business form 3 running with a constant speed Vo is illuminated by by a light source 4 and enlarged or reduced uniformly by a spherical image formation lens 210. Subsequently, the business form is enlarged or reduced in the rotational direction of a photosensitive drum by a cylindrical lens 210 arranged along the rotational axis of a photosensitive drum 8 and formed at its image on the drum surface. The drum 8 is rotated at a fixed speed V1 synchronously with the carrying of the business form 3 to prevent the formed image from being distorted. The speeds Vo and V1 have the relation of V1=MVo. Provided that, M is the reducing or enlarging magnification of a combined lens of the lenses 6 and 210. The size ratio of an input image can be optionally changed by changing the positions of the lenses 6 and 210. For instance, the input image is horizontally enlarged by expanding the input image uniformly by the lens 6 and then reducing it by the lens 210 and vertical reduction can be also performed. |
