<p>PURPOSE:To simplify and miniaturize hardware and to shorten the time of inspection by using the divisor of both numbers of sample and line when a screen is divided vertically and horizontally into blocks. CONSTITUTION:A digitized TV signal is supplied to a scan converting circuit 2 through an input signal line 1, and the scanned and converted data is delivered to a signal line 3 to be turned into the input of a subtractor 9 in an inter-frame coding circuit 8. The output of a frame memory 12 is supplied to the other input of the subtractor 9. The output of the subtractor 9, i.e., the predicted error signal is delivered to a line 13 and quantized by a quantizer 10. This quantized signal is supplied to a variable length coder 14 as well as to an adder 11. The coded signal is supplied to a variable length decoder 16 through a transmission line 15, and this decoded error signal is supplied to an adder 17 of an inter- frame decoder 20. The adder 17 delivers the inter-frame decoded signal to a scan adverse converting circuit 21 via a line 19.</p> |
