TEST CHART FOR PICTURE PROCESSOR

PURPOSE:To obtain a test chart suited to a multi-gradation picture processor by providing an oblong sample region containing plural minor regions within a background region having density and distributing these minor regions adjacently to each other by a prescribed difference in density gradation. CONSTITUTION:A test chart is used for the evaluation of performance of a device which processes pictures fetched by multi-gradation. Such a test chart contains a background region A having density which contains sample regions B. The region B has an oblong form as a whole and contains minor regions B1- B16, and these minor regions are arrayed successively in order of prescribed density gradation levels. Thus it is possible to perform a test for a picture processor with high accuracy and high efficiency.
