PURPOSE:To transmit a facsimile correspondence with high efficiency from a host computer by registering previously a dot pattern of external characters having high emerging frequencies in a facsimile response device. CONSTITUTION:A host computer 1 is connected to a facsimile response device 2 via a communication circuit 12, and the device 2 is connected to a facsimile terminal via a telephone circuit 3. The computer 1 produces a correspondence with character codes and gives an indication to the device 2 to transmit those character codes to the facsimile terminal. The device 2 contains a dot pattern memory part 22 for internal characters which are prescribed by a JIS information processing character code table and a dot pattern memory part 23 for external characters of high emerging frequencies. Then the device 2 analyzes the correspondence supplied from the computer 1 at a control part 21 and produces the original picture signal by using character patterns given from the part 22 in case of an internal character, from the part 23 in case of a registered external character and from an input signal in case of an unregistered external character, respectively. |
