PURPOSE:To enable to smoothly burn without generating pollution by ash by a method wherein molten ash is removed by baffle plates arranged in a vertical flame cylinder or a horizontal flame cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A large number of vertical members 21 and 21' having a V- shape in cross section are fixed in a horizontal flame cylinder 10 in such a manner that the open surfaces of the members 21 are directed opposite to the direction of flame flow and the members 21 are located fixedly in several rows with the members 21 of front and rear rows staggered to each other. The ash contained in the flame flowing through the horizontal flame cylinders 10 collides with the V-shape surfaces of the vertical members 21 and 21' so as to be caught and flowed downwards in order to be fallen into a water tank 23 and to be coagulated into lump ash. Accordingly, no ash in the form of pulverized ash exists in a second stage combustion chamber and consequently smooth combustion with no pollution due to ash can be performed. |
