PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for access to an external medium for display formats of a screen and to control the screen efficiently at a high speed by adding a recognition processing part for the display format presence of the screen to the data processing part of a display device. CONSTITUTION:A screen format is generated in a VS space (virtual space) firstly. Then, the recognition part 6 for the display format presence of the screen in the data processing part 14 of the display device is informed that the display format of the screen is present in a storage part 5 for the display format of the screen in the VS space. The circuit 6 receiving the information recognizes that and also informs an OPEN/CLOSE processing part 7 and a screen access part 8 of the presence and place (address of the display format of the screen. Then, the data processing of the display device is performed. Thus, the display format of the screen present in the VS space is used as it is to eliminate the need for access to the external medium under display format control, performing the screen control efficiently at the high speed.
