PURPOSE:To perform pre-fetch input control corresponding to an equipment by inhibiting pre-fetch input from an optical character reader and a bar code reader on data input of one field. CONSTITUTION:Data from the optical character reader or bar code reader 2 is sent to an end deciding circuit 6 through a data bus 9 to decide on a stop code, and the data, when it is input data, is sent out to a processor through an OR circuit 8 and a data bus 12. When the stop code is sent, the circuit 6 generates a data end signal 10, which is connected to the reader 2 as a select- off request signal 15 through an OR circuit 7. Therefore, the reader 2 is inhibited from operating every tine when one-field data is sent and an input is inhibited until a select signal 13 is generated. Consequently, only a single-time scan is made effective and no evil influence is exerted even when plural scans are made.
