PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption and to improve the control quality, by controlling the amount of cooling water from a heat source and the number of refrigerating machines that are to be operated, based on an indoor temperature signal, in an air conditioning system that consists of a fan coil load and an absorption refrigerating machine combination heat source. CONSTITUTION:According to increase or decrease of load, signals of room thermostats T1-Tn in respective rooms are inputted into valves to control the cold water flowing through fan coil units L1-Ln. An input signal is inputted via a heat source number controlling apparatus 2 and a frequency controlling apparatus 3 into a heat source machine and a pump. According to the state of load, a corresponding number of the absorption refrigerating machines C1-Cn of a heat source machine are operated and the speed of the pump is controlled. By controlling the amount of cooling water and the number of the refrigerating machines that are to be operated, power consumption can be reduced and the control quality can be improved.
