PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic head core of high quality with high frequency characteristics and excellent saturation characteristics by making magnetic head core half bodies of amorphous thin plates formed on abutting surfaces of a couple of nonmagnetic bodies. CONSTITUTION:Glass ceramics, nonmagnetic ferrite, etc., are usable for nonmagnetic substrates 8 and 9 for pressing and jointing the amorphous thin plates together. Surfaces 10, and 11 and 12 are only required to have some necessary flatness because none of them serves as a magnetic gap abutting surface directly. The amorphous thin plates 14 and 15 are stuck to the substrates 8 and 9, and a pressing jig 17 which is formed in a projection shape so that the thin plate is pressed against a winding groove 13 and a jig 16 for receiving its opposite surface are necessary for the substrate 9. Further, nonmagnetic material such as SiO2 is stuck by sputtering, vapor deposition, etc., in order to obtain a magnetic gap, and the substrates 8 and 9 having the stuck amorphous thin plates 14 and 15 are jointed together with the magnetic gap 18 left and cut along c-c' and d-d' to obtain a magnetic head core B. |
