PURPOSE:To enhance repetitive electrostatic charging characteristics, sensitivity, and mechanical characteristics by mixing polyarylate as a reinforcing agent with a photoconductive compsn. contg. polyvinyl-carbazole (PVK), a perylene type pigment, and a sensitizer. CONSTITUTION:A compsn. formed on a conductive substrate contains 100pts.wt. PVK, 5-20pts.wt. perylene type pigment, 5-60pts.wt. sensitizer, and 5-25pts.wt. polyarylate derived from aromatic dicarboxylic acid and divalent phenol, consisting of repeating units represented by the general formula shown here in which R<1>, R<2> are each divalent aromatic ring hydrocarbon group. |
