PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic recording body which has improved durability of a coated film and decreases drop-out by incorporating a high viscosity silicone oil and a low-viscosity silicone oil into a magnetic layer. CONSTITUTION:The high-viscosity silicone oil to be used in combination use of a high-viscosity silicone oil and a low-viscosity silicone oil is an oil having >=10,000 centistokes (hereunder expressed as CS), more preferably 50,000CS, more particularly preferably 100,000CS dynamic viscosity at 25 deg.. The low-viscosity silicone oil is an oil having <=10CS, more preferably <=5CS and more particularly preferably <=1CS. Silicones modified by a fatty acid (for example, myristic acid) and oxyethylene, in addition to dimethyl polysiloxane, diphenyl polysiloxane, etc. and epoxy modified silicone are usable as the example of the silicone oil. |
