PURPOSE:To offer a magnetic disc device where a temperature difference between plural arms and recording discs arranged axially is made very small and an actuator attaining high density recording is provided by fitting a heat shield means between a coil and the arms. CONSTITUTION:In Figure, 1 is a coil bobbin, 2 is the coil wound on this coil bobbin 1, 3-7 are the arms fixed to the coil bobbin 1, 8 is a head fitted to the arms 3-7 by each one or several numbers of heads, and 9 is a shaft fixed to the arms 3-7 and supported by bearings normally at its upper and lower part. A permanent magnet exists around the coil 2. In applying power to the coil 2, the coil 2 receives force from a magnetic field of the permanent magnet placed therearound and moves around the shaft 9. And, 10 is the heat shield plate located between the coil and the arms and fixed to the arms and uses a material with high thermal insulation. The shield plate is fitted so as not to be contacted with the coil. Thus, the heat shield plate 10 prevents the heat from the coil from heating up strongly the arms 4-6 directly near the coil. |
