PURPOSE:To prevent the reduction of a transfer ratio under high humidity environment and the reduction of sharpness by controlling transfer time. CONSTITUTION:Points P1-P4 show contact points of a transfer members 5 at the transfer part of the transfer member 5. The points P1, P4 are the points on the entrance and discharge sides of the member 5 prevented from the influence of a transfer corona 6 and the points P2, P3 are the starting and ending points of the incluence of the corona 6. If the opening width of a coorton 6 and the entrance/separating angle of the member 5 are defined as variables in the relation of the transfer time, transfer efficiency and picture elements the transfer ratio and the image quarity are sharply varied from the border of 0.1sec transfer time. At the time of 0.05sec., 80% transfer ratio is maintained and fine sharpness is obtained. At the time of 0.15sec, 65% transfer ratio is shown in 10% water content in transfer paper, so that the image density and sharpness are reduced. Therefore, the time of 0.1sec or less is preferable. |
