PURPOSE:To generate an optimum conditional statement as a vector instruction and improve execution efficiency by providing a source interpretation part, storage allocation part, making into vector part, etc., and making them into a vector instruction. CONSTITUTION:When a compiler 18 inputs a source program 17 from a mass- storage device and generates a desired program 19; the source interpretation part 20 inputs the program 17 and interprets its statement to explode them in an intermediate text. The storage allocation part 21 assign addresses in a storage area to various data of the program and the vector generation part 22 detects loop structure to alter the intermediate text. An intermediate text optimization part 23 optimizes a vector processing processor and a register used determination part 24 allots sources in a vector processing process to the data. Further, a desired program output part 25 outputs machine instruction words to the mass- storage device and performs optimization at an instruction word level to improve the efficiency of vector generation.
