PURPOSE:To correct lateral oscillations of a playback screen by detecting and storing tape tension before a tape is run intermittently, and detecting it in the tape intermittent run and varying the amplitude value of a lateral oscillation correction pulse signal corresponding to the stored tape tension. CONSTITUTION:The voltage drop across the resistance 24 between a motor power source +B and a cylinder motor 15 is measured, amplified by an amplifier 25, and digitized by an A/D conveter 26, whose output is inputted to and stored in a system control circuit 12 with a storing function. When a tape intermittent run command (h) is inputted to a system control circuit 12, a capstan driving command (h) is oututted to start the tape intermittent run. At the same time, a command signal (f) for setting the amplitude value i3' of a pulse signal corresponding to the cylinder load current value stored in the detection system control circuit 12 is inutted to a D/A converter 27 as a pulse generating circuit and an amplifier 14 outputs a lateral oscillation correction pulse signal ibeta with an amplitude value i3' including lateral oscillations due to unevenness of cylinder rotation and adds it to a cylinder driving signal J, correcting the lateral oscillations of a playback screen. |
