PURPOSE:To prevent the surface of a photosensitive drum from hurt, dirt and deterioration by coupling a cover with a movable guiding member along a guide part formed on a process cartridge and opening/closing the cover by interlocking with the charging/discharging operation of the process cartridge. CONSTITUTION:The process cartridge 17 incorporating an image carrier 3 and image formation processing units arranged arround the image carrier 3 is constituted attachably/detachably to/from an image forming device. An image carrier protecting cover 20 opening/closing the opening B of the cartridge 17 opposed to the processing units 8, 9 arranged on the outside of the cartridge 17 is formed and coupled with a movable guide member 56 along a guide member 17d formed on the cartridge, the member 56 is engaged with a fixing member 57 of the body to open/close the cover 20 by interlocking with the charging/discharging operation of the cartridge 17. |
