PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic recording medium having good adhesion between a magnetic layer and a base and excellent durability by incorporating a high polymer binder and an isocyanate compd. having >=2 functional groups in one molecule in an undercoating layer. CONSTITUTION:An undercoating layer contains a high polymer binder and an isocyanate compd. having >=2 functional groups in 1mol. The high polymer binder of the undercoating layer is amorphous satd. PE, polyurethane, polyvinyldene chloride, styrene/butadiene copolymer, etc. The amorphous satd. polyester is obtainable by condensation polymn. of 1 or several kinds of dibasic acid components and one or several kinds of dihydric alcohol components. The isocyanate compd. having >=2 functional groups in 1mol to be used is enumerated as the compd. shown in the figure. A trifunctional alcohol adduct type is more preferable. The amt. of said compd. to be added is 5-10 parts, more preferably 10-30 parts in 100 parts the main binder. |
