PURPOSE:To eliminate a leakage of magnetic flux and to prevent mutual interference even when >=2 magnetic cores are provided by inserting a magnetic head core into the groove hole of a front shield mask and shielding winding and a front part. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic head core 1 has the front part 3 and winding 4 which form a gap 2 inbetween, and a contacting surface 5 for a magnetic tape is curved arcuately. The front shield mask 8 has a shield material 9 having a magnetic shielding function and also has the groove hole 10 into which the magnetic head core 1 is inserted. An insulating layer 11 is formed on the inner circumferential surface of the groove hole 10 and the reverse surface of the shield material 9, and the front shield mask 8 is positioned to place the winding 4 downward. Then, when a signal is supplied to the winding 4 for recording, only magnetic flux in the gap 2 is generated outside because of the presence of the front shield mask 8. Consequently, even when another magnetic head core is present closely, no mutual interference is caused and there is no influence of an external magnetic field. |
