PURPOSE:To exclude the restriction on space, to improve the efficiency and to simplify the installation, check, adjustment, etc. of a cassette type air conditioner that will be installed in a ceiling, by positioning a V-shaped heat exchanger horizontally, making the heat exchanger as a whole into a cassette type, and arranging elements rationally. CONSTITUTION:The air in a room is introduced by a fan 13 from an intake 22, is sent via a silencing chamber 25 and a filter 27 into the horizontal V-shaped heat exchanger 15, and leaves an outlet 23 into the room, so that air conditioning is carried out. In this air conditioner, all the elements including the fan 13, the heat exchanger 15, etc. are housed in a case main body 11 in a cassette-like manner thereby omitting a duct. Thus the arrangement is simple, the apparatus is not limited by the space in a ceiling, the installation, check, and adjustment can be simplified, the area of heat exchange can be increased without any loss, and the heat exchange efficiency can be improved. |
