PURPOSE:To prevent the production of an after image by forming two signal charge outlets on a photoelectric converter of CCD type element, and simultaneously producing signal charges of photoelectric converters of 2-row one set displaced by one row at every field by a vertical clock pulse used for driving. CONSTITUTION:Since a clock pulse phi1 is at ''1'' level in the first field, a transfer gate 9'-1 is conducted, and light signal charges stored in photodiodes of (2m- 2)th row, (2m-2)th row, 2m-th row and (2m+1)th row are fed underneath a CCD electrode 2'-1 through a transfer gate 9'-1. Since a clock pulse phi3 is at ''1'' level in the second field, a transfer gate 9'-2 is conducted, and mixed charges of photodiodes (2m-1)th, 2m-th, (2m+1)th and (2m+2)th of 2 rows one set displaced at one row to the first field are fed undernearth the electrode 2'-3. In this manner, the signal charges of the photodiodes of all rows can be read out in the respective fields, thereby preventing the production of an after image. |
