PURPOSE:To provide an ester-based refrigerator oil containing a base oil consisting of a polyhydric alcohol, a long-chain unsaturated fatty acid and a dicarboxylic acid, which has optimum compatibility with Freon and excellent chemical stability. CONSTITUTION:The refrigerator oil contains a base oil consisting of a polyhydric alcohol (e.g. ethylene glycol or trimethylolpropane), a 16-18C unsaturated fatty acid (e.g. oleic or linoleic acid) and a 4-10C dicarboxylic acid (e.g. adipic or azelaic acid). It has optimum compatibility with Freon and excellent chemical stability and is applicable to any type of refrigerators. |
