PURPOSE:To facilitate size reduction by using a transparent glass plate as a protection member which block an opening part of the external cover of a camera and inserting and forming a glass plate in the opening part of the external cover integrally with said external cover. CONSTITUTION:A finder protection member 24, strobe protection member 25, ocular part protection member 25, and an ocular part protection member 26 of the camera are all made of glass plates, and inserted and formed directly in opening parts of the external cover 1. Those protection members 24, 25, and 26 are fixed completely to composition surfaces of the external cover 1 by molding, so the waterproofing property is much higher than when a conventional waterproof packing is used. Therefore, the space necessary for the waferproof packing is reduced to facilitate the size reduction. |
