PURPOSE:To obtain an optical logical oscillator by cascading annularly the odd number of optical NOT circuits, optical amplifiers, and optical delay elements. CONSTITUTION:The output of an optical NOT circuit 1 is guided to an optical amplifier 3 through a light guide and its output is guided through a light guide 4 to an optical branching device 5; its one output is connected to the input of the optical NOT circuit 1 through a light guide 7, and the other output is sent out as the output of an optical logical oscillator circuit through a light guide 6. The optical NOT circuit 1 emits output light 34 from a composition surface toward reflecting surfaces 32 and 33 of a Fabry-Perot resonator and consists of a semiconductor laser 31 that coherent input light 35 enter in the composition surface while crossing output light 34. Consequently, the optical logical oscillator which generates an optical pulse train suitable for the operation of a light sequential logical circuit is obtained. |
