METHOD FOR MODIFYING PICTURE

PURPOSE:To attain a modifying method with accurate finish without any preparatory operation by calculating the location of a modification start line on an original face at each scanning line by using the condition of modification set in an operating controller in advance, and writing the result to a memory. CONSTITUTION:A coordinate of a scanning point of a picture Din on a scanning drum 1 is inputted to a memory 17 by counting a pulse outputted from a main scanning encoder 4 and a sub-scanning encoder 5 at a main scanning counter 6 and a sub-scanning counter 7. As the condition of modification, the start point of a start line and the end point of a stop line or the like are inputted from a keyboard 11 and counted by each scanning line at the counters 6, 7 via an operation controller 10 and written in the memory 17. The memory is read by the read address formed by an address counter 35 and a pulse from a memory read pulse generating circuit 36, and a modified picture is recorded on a film or the like wound on a recording cylinder 21 via a recording head 22.
