PURPOSE:To prevent a traction sheave from getting floated from a sheave groove of an insert ring as well as to keep safety traction performance all the time, by providing pits on a junction surface of the sheave groove or the insert ring. CONSTITUTION:A traction sheave 2B is constituted of the following formation that an intermediate material 10A is interposingly set up inside a sheave groove 8 carrying plural stripes located on the circumference of a cast iron sheave body 7 and an insert ring 9 carrying high frictional force composed of a polymeric material such as synthetic resins or the like is installed inside. In this intermediate material 10A, a plastic material of urethane resins or the like is made into a liquid state, then applied to an inner surface of the sheave groove 8 as a thin film and afterward the insert ring 9 is fitly installed therein for assembling. Under this condition, it is hardened into a filmy state by means of a hardener or heat treatment. In order to avoid losing uniformity due to air bubbles and so on in time of setting the insert ring 9, shallow, long groovelike pits 12 are installed in both side and bottom parts inside the sheave groove 8 extending over the whole circumferential direction in succession, making it a means of escape for air, etc. |
