PURPOSE:To make it possible to tilt a luggage carrier which is prevented from being abruptly raised, by providing such an arrangement that the luggage carrier is tilted by an expanded air-bag disposed between the tiltable luggage carrier and a chassis, and by disposing a damper mechanism between the luggage carrier and the chassis. CONSTITUTION:A luggage carrier 3 is tiltably attached at the lower surface of the its rear end edge 4 to the upper surface of the rear end edge 2 of a chassis 1, and is tilted by an expanded air bag 6 made of a flexible tough air-tight cloth and disposed between the chassis 1 and the luggage carrier 3. In order to damp the abrupt rise of the luggage carrier 3 due to the abrupt expansion of the air- bag 6, a damper mechanism 9 is disposed between the lower side 7 of the rear of the luggage carrier 3 and the upper side 8 of the intermediate section of the chassis 1. This damper mechanism 9 includes a piston 15 integrally incorporated with an expandable operating rod 12 and formed therein with a small diameter communication hole 16, which is fitted in a hydraulic cylinder 10 charged with damping hydraulic oil 14, and the bottom of the cylinder 10 and the top end of the operating rod 12 are pivotally attached to the chassis 1 and the luggage carrier 3, respectively, by means of bearings 11, 13. |
