PURPOSE:To simply constitute a forming mold by forming beforehand a required portion of a core plate of an interior decoration having an undercut curved surface into a developed form of the curved surface and bending the core plate after forming into the interior decoration. CONSTITUTION:When an interior decoration having an undercut curved surface, for example front pillar garnish is produced, a portion 10a of a steel plate 10, i.e. core plate of the garnish, is first formed into the developed form of a undercut portion. And a folding line 10b is formed along the portion 10a. Next, the steel plate 10 is held between both upper and lower molds. After forming a skin layer 11 on the upper surface of the lower mold, foaming resin is injected into a cavity between the lower mold and the steel plate 10 to form a foamed layer 12. After forming the foamed layer 12 and the skin layer 11 on the surface of the steel plate 10, the steel plate 10 is taken out of the both upper and lower molds, and by bending a portion 10a of the steel plate 10 inward along a folding line 10b, the undercut curved surface is formed. |
