PURPOSE:To provide a powder coating composition consisting of an epichlorohydrin-bisphenol type epoxy resin, a specified polyacid polyanhydride and triphenylphosphine, which has excellent storage stability and cures at a low temperature to form a flexible coating film. CONSTITUTION:The coating composition is prepared by adding (C) 0.1-4pts.wt. triphenylphosphine and (D) surface conditioner, sagging inhibitor, antistatic agent, pigment, etc., when necessary, to 100pts.wt. mixture of (A) 50-95wt% epichlorohydrin-bisphenol type epoxy resin containing at least two epoxy groups in the molecule and having a melting point of 50-140 deg.C and (B) 50-5wt% polyacid polyanhydride of the formula (where m is 8-18; n is 2-20) having a melting point of 50 deg.C or higher, and melt kneading the mixture at 70-140 deg.C, followed by cooling and crushing into powder having an average particle diameter of 30- 140mu.
